In the Community

Our purpose is to serve society and attempt in our individual lives to make this world a better place for all people. To this end, each one of us works to reach out to the poor and underserved. In our private time, members of our firm are active in our church choir, area schools, the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the National Guard. We also spend our private time in service to the poor at Garden House, Detifany House, various food pantries and our respective churches. Most importantly, we value time spent with our children and families. We believe what you accomplish in your spare time defines you and helps make you a better person.

Malek & Malek attorneys regularly volunteer with various charitable organizations in the community. They also spend many hours performing pro bono work for clients who cannot afford the cost of an attorney. Individually, they offer a variety of services to their communities, including:

• Doug Malek enjoys his committment to the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education. This organization devotes itself to fostering the intellectual growth of inner-city children by exposing them to the legal community at a young age. Doug recently spent a day judging a middle school mock trial competition.
• Jim Malek commits time and resources to the Mid-Ohio Workers Association, an entity affiliated with the National Labor Federation. Jim has been a guest speaker at various events and devotes as much time as possible to this organization.
• Ed Malek and his wife regularly volunteer on weekends to help those desperately in need of assistance. They are active within the outreach programs sponsored by their church.
